GA Electrician Exam Tools: Calculators, Games, Labs
Twenty four tools, all free and none of them asking for an account. Each one shows the working rather than only the answer, because the working is what transfers to a paper where you have books but no calculator doing the thinking. Their values were read in the 2026 book, and this page says what that means for a state on 2023.

The eight calculators
Voltage drop calculator. Chapter 9 Table 8 conductor properties built in, with the resistance method and the approximate formula side by side so you can see where they part.
Conduit fill calculator. Chapter 9 Table 1 for the percentages, Table 4 for raceway areas and Table 5 for conductor dimensions, with the fill worked step by step.
Box fill calculator. Every box size in 314.16 and the categories that get counted differently, shown as a count rather than a total you have to trust.
Wire size calculator. Load in, conductor out, with the ampacity, the correction, the adjustment and the termination limit each on its own line.
Ampacity calculator. Correction, adjustment and the termination temperature cap at 110.14(C), in the order the code applies them.
Motor calculator. Full load current, conductor sizing, overload and the short circuit device, each from its own Article 430 table. Worth extra time if you're sitting Class II, where rotating equipment carries 16 questions.
Transformer calculator. kVA to amps, primary and secondary, with the overcurrent percentages that sit at 450.5 in the 2026 book (450.3 in the 2023 edition Georgia tests on). Class II gives transformers 21 questions.
Ohm's law calculator. Any two values give the other two, with the power wheel shown rather than assumed.

The six games
Ampacity sprint. Table 310.16 against a clock: you're given a conductor and a temperature column and you name the ampacity.
Wire size sprint. The same table in reverse: you're given a load and you name the smallest conductor that carries it.
Which table? Ten prompts a round. Read the job, name the table or section you'd open first. Three levels.
Code navigation race. Twenty timed prompts a round: pick the chapter, the article or the section out of four.
Article 100 definitions flashcards. Sixty terms, tap to flip, missed cards come back, plus a timed twenty card sprint.
The calculation ladder. Eight rungs of exam arithmetic in the order they get harder, box fill through tap rules, ten problems each with the working shown. Rung one is free and the other seven come with the $79 purchase that also opens the question bank.
The four hands-on labs
A lab is a page you work rather than read. You drag something, turn something or connect something, and it answers with the number it just changed and the section that governs it.
Conduit bending simulator. Drag the rise and turn the angle dial, and the multiplier, the shrink, the take up and every mark move with it.
Switch wiring lab. Drag conductor ends onto terminals on a three way and four way circuit, flip the switches, and a checker names the section behind each fault.
Box fill lab. Drop conductors, grounds, a device yoke, clamps and fittings into a drawn box and watch the fill rise, with the 314.16 rule on every drop.
Grounding electrode lab. Drag electrodes into the ground, bond them into one system and size the grounding electrode conductor from Table 250.66 and its ceilings.

The five drills
Daily question. One original multiple choice question every morning, the same one for everybody, with the worked explanation, the section cited and a streak counter.
Diagnostic. Twenty four questions across the main content areas. It scores every area, orders them worst first and names your two weakest, which is the fastest way to decide what to study.
Article drill. A timed drill on which article governs a question, scored in seconds. On an eight hour open book paper, the code half is lost on search time more often than on knowledge.
Spot the violation. Twelve drawn scenes. Click the one thing that's wrong, and every region gets an explanation, including the ones that are fine.
Grounding or bonding sorter. Twenty four items sorted one at a time. Grounding reaches earth, bonding ties metal together, and several things do both.
The eligibility calculator
Hours to exam. Type in the experience you have and it gives you the date you can sit, tied to the rule that sets it.
Georgia's floor is four years of Primary Experience, defined in Board Rule 121-3-.01 as installation work on electrical systems, gained under an active licensed electrical contractor. The board's own application form gives the conversion as 2,000 hours to a year.
Up to one year of that can come from Secondary Experience, credited at fifty percent, or from education. The rule's education lines and its one year cap don't read the same way, and the hours page sets out both readings rather than picking one.

Which edition these tools hold
The table values in these tools were read in the 2026 National Electrical Code. Georgia enforces the 2023 edition and PSI's reference list names the 2023 edition, so here's exactly what that does and doesn't mean.
The table numbers are the same in both editions. Table 310.16 for ampacity, 314.16 for box fill, Table 250.66 for grounding electrode conductors, the Article 430 motor tables and Chapter 9 Tables 1, 4, 5 and 8. Our record of the numbers that changed between the 2023 and 2026 editions has no entry for any of them.
Two tools name a section that moved. The transformer calculator cites transformer overcurrent protection at 450.5 in the 2026 book (450.3 in the 2023 edition Georgia tests on). The Ohm's law calculator points at load calculations in Article 120 in the 2026 book (Article 220 in the 2023 edition Georgia tests on).
And one value differs rather than one number: the dwelling general lighting unit load is a single 3 volt-amperes per square foot in your 2023 book, where the 2026 edition uses 3 for branch circuits and 2 for feeders and services. Which edition the exam uses carries the full list.
How to use them without learning the wrong thing
A calculator that hands you an answer teaches you nothing you can carry into a room where the arithmetic has to come from you. That's why every tool here shows the steps.
Work the problem on paper first, then run it through the tool and compare the steps rather than the totals. A wrong total says something broke. A step by step comparison says which step.
Then log the step you got wrong. Twenty problems logged that way point at your two real weak spots inside a week.

Can I use a calculator on the Georgia electrical exam?
PSI's bulletin sets the reference and conduct rules for the examination, so read it for what you may bring and ask PSI before your date if anything is unclear. Practice the arithmetic by hand either way.
Which code edition are the tool values from?
The 2026 National Electrical Code. Every table number these tools use carries the same number in the 2023 edition Georgia tests on, and the two moved section numbers are named on this page.
What does the hours calculator do?
It takes the experience you have and gives the date you can sit, against Georgia's floor of four years of Primary Experience under a licensed electrical contractor, with 2,000 hours counted as one year.
Do the labs need anything installed?
No. All four run in the browser, they need no account and nothing is uploaded.
Which tool should I start with?

Which tools matter most for Class II?
